In a heartbreaking incident at Maheshi Chowk, Bhagalpur, 15-year-old Karuna Kumari tragically lost her life due to a reckless SUV collision. The young girl was making her way to school, accompanied by two friends, when the out-of-control vehicle struck them, hurling them off their feet.
Bhagalpur: A 15-year-old schoolgirl, who was hit by a speeding vehicle near Maheshi Chowk under the Sultanganj police station area, succumbed to her injuries at the emergency ward of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH) in Bhagalpur on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Karuna Kumari.According to Sultanganj police, Karuna, along with Ansh Kumar and Divyanshu—both residents of Maheshi village under the same police station area—was on her way to school on Tuesday when the driver of a speeding SUV lost control and rammed into the three children.The impact was so severe that the children were thrown into the air and fell nearly 20 to 25 feet onto a roadside reinforced cement concrete (RCC) slab. Their bicycles were smashed into pieces, while schoolbags were scattered across the road, sources said.
